Fatima Outaleb, Founding and Executive Board Member, Union for Feminist Action, Morocco

Ms. Outaleb is gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment expert with over 27 years of experience in the MENA region. She cofounded and led the first women’s shelter in Morocco. Ms. Outaleb is the MENA representative in the Global Network of Women Shelters. In addition, she was a member of The Council of Europe North South expert group, focal person and gender technical advisor of many national and international organizations (DANNER, FAR, ABAAD WILPF, UNFPA, UNDP, ICAN) and has been a part of many regional networks. She has written publications on GBV and contributed to the elaboration and editing of many toolkits and briefs on women’s rights in MENA region. She holds a BA from Med V University and a Diploma on International Women’s Rights Instruments from Raoul Wallenberg University.
