Ms. Hadeel Abdo (panellist)
Hadeel is leading on Palestine component of UN Women’s Regional Programme “Men and Women for Gender Equality” which focuses on engaging men and boys in Gender Equality. She is also leading the UN Innovation Lab where different UN agencies explored the Positive Deviant Approach as a tool for social change. Hadeel has more than 17 years of experience in designing and managing development programs in Palestine. Prior to her work with UN Women, she led Oxfam’s multi-sectors Programme in East Jerusalem “Protect the Rights and Improve the Resilience of Vulnerable Communities in East Jerusalem”. Her career included being a deputy director at the Women’s Studies Centre (WSC) in East Jerusalem. Hadeel is also a researcher; she was a co-author of different researches on women’s rights in Palestine. Hadeel has a BA in Sociology from the University of Jordan (Jordan) and a MA in Sociology from Concordia University (Canada).
